Unimogs are designed to carry. We see a few mogs with chip bodies or cranes but most just have a flat tipper. Unimog bodies are designed to be removed in a few minutes so why not make use of this feature? RSL can manufacture a body to suit your needs. Timber body, spreader carrier, bowser tank etc. With the spreader body a trailer full of fertilizer could be towed to the field. If the trailer has a hiab you would be totally independent. A very efficient road legal setup. Certainly more legal than carrying fert bags on the loader forks down the road!
Unimog Bodies
This long wheelbase Unimog was transformed by adding this flat loadbed with log bolsters, full height super strong headboard to protect the cab and provide a rest for the 6.5m reach timber crane. The crane could fold up onto the bed if it was empty or reach over the cab and clamp onto a front plate mounted on the front DIN plate. The u500 also has our 3 pont linkage and trailer hitch on the rear making it a very verstaile machine.
